Crab Cakes
Lemon Old Bay Aioli
Method
Crab Cakes Preparation
- 1
Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and chopped green onions. Gently fold the ingredients together to avoid breaking up the crab meat.
- 2
Add Bindings
Add breadcrumbs, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper to the crab mixture. Mix gently until everything is evenly combined. The mixture should be moist but hold together when shaped.
- 3
Shape Crab Cakes
Using your hands, form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place them on a parchment-lined tray. Refrigerate the patties for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.
- 4
Cook Crab Cakes
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the crab cakes in the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
