Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for uniform cooking. Season with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Coat each chicken breast in flour, shaking off excess flour.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
