Walnut Prawns Ingredients
Preparation Directions
1. Prepare the Walnuts
In a small saucepan, combine the walnuts, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves and coats the walnuts. Remove from heat and let it cool on parchment paper.
2. Prepare the Prawns
In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Dip the prawns into the cornstarch mixture, then into the beaten egg, and back into the cornstarch to create a double coating.
3. Fry the Prawns
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the prawns in batches until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
4. Prepare the Sauce
In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, condensed milk, and honey together until well combined.
5. Combine and Serve
Toss the fried prawns in the creamy sauce until evenly coated. Plate the prawns and garnish with honey-glazed walnuts and sliced green onions.
