Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.

2

Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.

3

Cook Broccoli and Other Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the broccoli, carrots, celery, mushrooms, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

4

Make the Brown Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 1/2 cup of water. Pour the mixture over the vegetables and stir to combine.

5

Combine and Garnish

Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet, toss everything together to coat in the sauce, and heat through for another 2-3 minutes. Serve garnished with chopped macadamia nuts.
