Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the dip.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices and arrange them on a baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Onion and Garlic

In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once heated, add the finely chopped sweet onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 4

    Mix the Dip Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sautéed onion and garlic, fresh crab meat, artichoke hearts (chopped if whole), softened cream cheese, sour cream, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and smooth.

  5. 5

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Transfer the dip mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.

  6. 6

    Bake the Dip

Bake the dip in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until it is hot and bubbly, and the top is lightly golden.

  7. 7

    Toast the Baguette

While the dip is baking, toast the baguette slices in the oven for about 10 minutes or until they are crispy and golden.

  8. 8

    Serve

Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Serve warm with the toasted baguette slices for dipping.
