Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta blend according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add the diced bell peppers and minced garlic, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
- 3
Cook the Sausage
Add the Grazianos sausage to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Create the Vodka Sauce
Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, vodka, and red pepper flakes. Let simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the alcohol to cook off.
- 5
Add Cream and Season
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly for about 3-4 minutes.
- 6
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the vodka sauce. Stir in the chopped fresh basil before serving.
