Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Wash the leaf lettuce and slice the tomato into thick slices.

  2. 2

    Make the Patties

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the beef into two equal portions and form into patties.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the hamburger buns lightly if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by the tomato slice, and then the cooked burger patty with melted cheese. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then top with the other half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the burgers immediately in a basket with your choice of sides.
