Method

Main Dish

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Pat the turkey dry with paper towels. Rub the turkey inside and out with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Season the Turkey

In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, and juice of the lemon. Rub this mixture all over the turkey, ensuring it gets under the skin.

  3. 3

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven for about 13 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Stuffing

  1. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and celery. Sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 5

    Combine Stuffing Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables, bread cubes, sage, and chicken broth. Mix until the bread is well coated.

  3. 6

    Bake the Stuffing

Transfer the stuffing mixture to a greased baking dish. Cover with foil and bake in the oven for the last hour of the turkey roasting, removing the foil for the last 20 minutes.

Sides

  1. 7

    Prepare the Green Beans

In a pot of boiling water, blanch the green beans for about 3-5 minutes until bright green. Drain and set aside.

  2. 8

    Sauté the Green Beans

In the same skillet, add a little olive oil. Add green beans and slivered almonds. Sauté until the beans are tender and almonds are toasted, about 5-7 minutes.

Dessert

  1. 9

    Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.

  2. 10

    Assemble the Pie

Pour the pumpkin filling into the prepared pie crust. Bake in the oven at 425°F (220°C) for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 35-40 minutes, or until the filling is set.
