Cake Base

Method

Cake Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter with the sugar mixture until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

  6. 6

    Pour into Cake Pans

Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. Divide the batter evenly between the pans.

  7. 7

    Bake the Cake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool the Cakes

Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frosting Preparation

  1. 9

    Beat the Butter

In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.

  2. 10

    Add Sugar and Cream

Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well. Add heavy cream and vanilla extract and beat until light and fluffy.

Decoration

  1. 11

    Frost the Cake

Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of frosting on top. Place the second layer on top and frost the top and sides of the cake.

  2. 12

    Decorate

Sprinkle the edible glitter over the frosted cake and place the fresh flowers decoratively on top.
