Main Course Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry with paper towels. Rub the butter all over the turkey, including under the skin. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stuff the cavity with fresh rosemary and thyme.

  2. 2

    Roast the Turkey

Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it. Roast for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste the turkey every 30 minutes with the pan juices.

Side Dishes Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Green Beans

Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until bright green. Drain and immediately place in ice water to stop cooking. Toss with sliced almonds and season with salt to taste.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender (about 20 minutes). Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until creamy. Serve with gravy.

Dessert Preparation

  1. 5

    Serve the Pumpkin Pie

Slice the pumpkin pie and serve with whipped cream on top. Enjoy your festive dessert!
