Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Cream Butter and Sugar
In another bowl, cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.

Bake
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and smooth the tops. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Frosting

Prepare Frosting
In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix on low speed until combined.

Add Cream and Flavor
Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, and beat on high speed for about 3 minutes until fluffy and smooth.

Color Frosting
If desired, add food coloring to achieve your preferred color and mix until evenly colored.

Frost Cake
Once the cakes are completely cool, frost the top of one layer, place the second layer on top, and frost the top and sides of the entire cake.
Decoration

Sprinkle edible glitter over the frosted cake and arrange fresh flowers on top for an elegant touch.
