Method
Prepare Glass
- 1
Rim the glass
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or margarita glass. Dip the rim into a shallow dish of coarse salt or Tajín to coat evenly. Set glass aside.
Mix Cocktail
- 2
Fill a cocktail shaker with 1 cup of ice.
- 3
Add 2 oz blanco tequila, 1 oz triple sec, 2 oz fresh orange juice, 1.5 oz sweet & sour mix, and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice to the shaker.
- 4
Secure the lid and dry-shake for 5 seconds (no ice) only if you want a slightly frothier texture; otherwise skip this step and proceed to shaking with ice.
- 5
Shake vigorously with ice for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled (exterior becomes cold and slightly frosty).
- 6
Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass. Serve over fresh ice (optional) or neat, depending on preference.
Garnish & Serve
- 7
Garnish the drink with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and an optional orange twist for aroma.
- 8
Serve immediately. Sip and enjoy responsibly.
