Bread Base

Garlic Butter Mixture

Method

Preparing the Garlic Butter

  1. 1

    Soften the Butter

Take the unsalted butter out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes until softened.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

While the butter is softening, peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.

  3. 3

    Chop the Parsley

Wash and chop the fresh parsley leaves finely.

  4. 4

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Preparing the Bread

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 6

    Slice the Baguette

Using a serrated knife, slice the baguette in half lengthwise to create two open pieces.

  3. 7

    Spread the Garlic Butter

Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut side of each half of the baguette.

Baking the Garlic Bread

  1. 8

    Bake the Bread

Place the prepared baguette halves on a baking sheet, cut side up, and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the butter is melted.

  2. 9

    Broil (Optional)

For an extra crispy top, switch the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes of baking, keeping a close eye on it to prevent burning.

Serving

  1. 10

    Slice and Serve

Remove the garlic bread from the oven, let it cool for a minute, then slice into pieces and serve warm.
