Prepare the Tomatoes
Dice the fresh tomatoes and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil and Seasoning
Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the diced tomatoes. Mince the garlic cloves and add to the bowl. Season with salt and black pepper.

Mix the Tomato Mixture
Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the tomato mixture. Gently toss to combine all ingredients. Set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.
Preparing the Bread

Slice the Bread
Slice the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the sliced bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
Assembly

Top the Toast
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of bread.

Add Mozzarella
Tear the mozzarella cheese into small pieces and place them on top of the tomato mixture.

Serve immediately while the bread is still warm. Enjoy your delicious bruschetta!
