Crab Cakes

Mustard Sauce

Method

Prepare the Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, and bread crumbs. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Cakes

Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Chill

Cover the patties and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.

  4. 4

    Fry

In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Prepare the Sweet and Spicy Slaw

  1. 5

    Mix Vegetables

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, grated carrot, sliced bell pepper, and minced jalapeño.

  2. 6

    Make Dressing

In a smaller bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper. Pour over the slaw and toss until well combined. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes before serving.

Prepare the Mustard Sauce

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
