1. Prepare the fries
Peel and cut the potatoes into fries. Soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
2. Cook the fries
Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain and pat dry the potatoes, then fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, season with salt.
3. Cook the steak
Season the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Add butter to the pan during the last minute of cooking, basting the steaks with it.
4. Prepare the salad
In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber. Drizzle with vinaigrette dressing and toss to combine.
