Method
Buttermilk Garlic Biscuits
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder.
Cut in Butter
Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Buttermilk
Pour in the buttermilk and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick. Cut into biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
Bake
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Baked Eggs in Ham
Prepare Ham
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with slices of ham to create a cup.
Add Eggs
Crack an egg into each ham cup. Season with salt and pepper.
Bake
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the eggs are cooked to your liking.
Pimento Cheese
Mix Ingredients
In a bowl, combine the sharp cheddar cheese, cream cheese, pimentos, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Chill
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
Applewood Smoked Bacon
Cook Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
