Chocolate Fondant Ingredients

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ramekins

Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust them with cocoa powder or flour.

  2. 2

    Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a heatproof bowl, combine dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.

  3. 3

    Mix the Batter

In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until pale and fluffy. Gradually fold in the melted chocolate mixture, then gently incorporate the flour until just combined.

  4. 4

    Fill and Bake

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins. Place them on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let them cool for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate and serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
