Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare Praline Bacon
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup chopped pecans, and a pinch of salt. Coat each slice of bacon with the mixture and lay them flat on the baking sheet. Bake until crispy, about 15-20 minutes. Let cool and chop into small pieces.
- 2
Make the Waffle Batter
In a small saucepan, warm the milk and butter until the butter melts. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the warm milk mixture and eggs, stirring until well combined. Fold in the chopped praline bacon.
- 3
Cook the Waffles
Preheat the waffle iron. Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown.
- 4
Assemble the Praline Waffle
Serve the waffles warm, topped with a strip of praline bacon, a dollop of whipped cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pecans.
