Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat and fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Set aside.
- 2
Make the Biscuits
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- 3
Prepare the Gravy
In the same skillet used for the chicken, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened. For vegetarian gravy, sauté mushrooms, add flour, and gradually whisk in vegetable broth. Season both gravies with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- 4
Scramble the Eggs
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt. In a non-stick skillet, scramble the eggs over medium heat until softly set.
- 5
Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls
Bake the cinnamon rolls according to package instructions. Once baked, allow to cool slightly and spread cream cheese over the top.
