Method

Chicken

1

Prepare the Chicken

In a large bowl, mix buttermilk with salt and pepper. Marinate chicken breasts in the buttermilk for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

2

Coat the Chicken

In another bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture.

3

Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the chicken breasts in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Waffles

4

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes

Boil or steam sweet potatoes until tender, then mash until smooth.

5

Make the Waffle Batter

In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk, sugar, and melted butter. Mix until just combined.

6

Cook the Waffles

Preheat a waffle iron and pour the batter into the hot iron. Cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until waffles are golden brown.

Scrambled Eggs

7

Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.

8

Cook the Eggs

Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook, stirring gently until the eggs are set but still soft.

Cinnamon Rolls

9

Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and yeast. In a saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm. Combine with flour mixture and add eggs. Knead until smooth and let rise for 1 hour.

10

Fill the Rolls

Roll out the dough, spread softened butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, and roll tightly. Cut into rolls and place in a baking dish.

11

Bake the Rolls

Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden. Fill with cream cheese after baking.
