Crispy Chicken Sandwich
Method
Preparation
- 1
Marinate Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts and let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- 2
Prepare Breading
In a shallow dish, mix together flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Bread Chicken
Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture until well coated.
- 4
Fry Chicken
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Prepare Coleslaw
In a bowl, combine coleslaw mix and coleslaw dressing. Mix well and set aside.
- 6
Assemble Sandwich
Toast the hamburger buns. Spread mayonnaise on each bun. Place fried chicken on the bottom bun, add pickles, and top with coleslaw. Cover with the top bun.
- 7
Serve
Serve the crispy chicken sandwich with a side of French fries.
