Method
Preparing the Bacon
Cook the Bacon
Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the thick sliced applewood smoked bacon to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired crispiness.
Drain Excess Fat
Once the bacon is cooked, remove it from the skillet and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess grease.
Preparing the Fresh Fruit
Wash the Fruit
Rinse the strawberries and blueberries under cold water. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
Prepare the Honeydew and Pineapple
Cut the honeydew melon and pineapple into bite-sized pieces.
Combine the Fruit
In a large bowl, combine the strawberries, blueberries, honeydew melon, and pineapple. Gently toss the fruit together.
Garnish with Mint
Chop the mint leaves finely and sprinkle them over the fruit mixture. Toss gently to incorporate.
Serving
Plate the Dish
On a serving platter, arrange the crispy bacon slices alongside the fresh fruit mixture. Serve immediately for the best flavor.
