Ravioli Dough

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and crack the eggs into the well. Gradually mix the flour into the eggs until a dough forms. Knead for about 5-10 minutes until smooth. Wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and pork until browned. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until onion is translucent. Stir in Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool.

  3. 3

    Roll Out the Dough

After resting, divide the dough into four pieces. Roll out each piece into thin sheets using a pasta machine or a rolling pin.

  4. 4

    Fill the Ravioli

Place small spoonfuls of filling along the dough sheet. Fold the dough over and press to seal, cutting into individual squares.

  5. 5

    Cook the Ravioli

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Gently add the ravioli and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon.

  6. 6

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in crushed tomatoes, dried basil, salt, and sugar. Simmer for 15 minutes.

  7. 7

    Serve

Toss the cooked ravioli with the tomato sauce and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious meat ravioli!
