Directions
- 1
Prepare the Cheese Sticks
Cut the mozzarella cheese into sticks if they are not pre-cut. Freeze the cheese sticks for 30 minutes to an hour to help them hold their shape while frying.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
Prepare three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mix of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Bread the Cheese Sticks
Coat each frozen mozzarella stick in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure they are fully coated for a crispy texture.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Cheese Sticks
Fry the breaded mozzarella sticks in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pot, until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Serve
Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
