1. Prepare the Meat Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened. Add ground beef, cook until browned. Stir in tomato sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.

2. Prepare the Ricotta Mixture

In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until smooth.

3. Cook the Lasagna Noodles

Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and lay flat on a clean surface.

4. Assemble the Lasagna

In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce at the bottom. Layer 4 lasagna noodles, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella, and then another layer of meat sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, remaining meat sauce, and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

5. Bake

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is bubbly and golden.

6. Serve

Allow the lasagna to cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
