Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- 2
Dredge the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer fried chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- 4
Assemble the Dish
In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the fried chicken breasts on top of the sauce. Spoon the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese and the mozzarella cheese.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- 6
Serve
Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve hot with pasta or a side salad.
