Method
Pulled Pork Preparation
- 1
Season the Pork
In a large bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- 2
Marinate the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour the salsa verde over the pork, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and marinate for at least 4 hours on low heat or overnight in the refrigerator.
- 3
Cook the Pork
Cook the pork in the slow cooker on low for 8 hours or until it is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- 4
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Use two forks to shred the pork, mixing it with the salsa verde from the slow cooker.
Assembling the Tacos
- 5
Prepare the Tortillas
Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until they're pliable.
- 6
Build the Tacos
Place a generous amount of shredded pulled pork on each tortilla. Top with mozzarella cheese, pico de gallo, and fresh cilantro.
- 7
Finish with Lime
Squeeze fresh lime juice over the filled tacos to enhance the flavors.
