Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Rinse the turkey breast under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Trim any excess fat.

  2. 2

    Make the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to form a marinade.

  3. 3

    Marinate the Turkey

Rub the marinade all over the turkey breast, ensuring it is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.

  4. 4

    Soak the Applewood Chips

While the turkey is marinating, soak the applewood chips in water for at least 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Smoker

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Once heated, add the soaked applewood chips to the smoker box or directly onto the coals.

  6. 6

    Smoke the Turkey

Place the marinated turkey breast in the smoker. Close the lid and smoke for about 3 to 4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  7. 7

    Rest the Turkey

Once done, remove the turkey from the smoker and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

  8. 8

    Slice and Serve

After resting, slice the turkey breast thinly and serve it warm or cold, as desired.
