Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Waffle Fries

Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the bag of frozen waffle fries. Spread the fries evenly on a baking sheet and bake according to package directions, typically around 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Toppings

While the fries are baking, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan, drain on paper towels, and chop into small pieces. Dice the onion, tomato, and jalapenos into small pieces.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Assemble the Nachos

Once the waffle fries are cooked, remove them from the oven and place them on a large serving plate or platter. Evenly distribute the chopped bacon, onions, tomatoes, and jalapenos over the fries.

  2. 4

    Add Cheese

Pour the queso cheese over the top of the fries and toppings, then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.

  3. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Return the assembled nachos to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve with Sauces

Remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve with ranch dressing and sour cream on the side for dipping.
