Burger Patty

Cheeseburger Assembly

Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Patty Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties that are slightly larger than the burger buns.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Cheeseburger Assembly

  1. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the cheese is melting, lightly toast the burger buns on a separate skillet or grill until golden brown.

  3. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cheeseburger patty, a slice of tomato, pickles, and condiments (ketchup and mustard) to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to resemble fries.

  2. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot. Carefully add the potato strips and fry until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).

  3. 9

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste while they are still hot.
