Noodles

Method

Cooking Noodles

  1. 1

    Boil the Noodles

In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Add the dry egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 7-9 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Cream Sauce

  1. 2

    Make the Cream Sauce

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and black pepper, and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Cooking Vegetables and Shrimp

  1. 3

    Sauté Shrimp and Vegetables

In the same skillet with the cream sauce, add the peeled and deveined shrimp. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink. Add the chopped scallions, diced plum tomatoes, and trimmed pea pods. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Combining and Serving

  1. 4

    Combine and Serve

Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the shrimp and vegetable mixture. Toss gently to coat the noodles with the cream sauce. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and scallions if desired.
