Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Begin by slicing the beef sirloin into thin strips, approximately 1/4 inch thick. Next, wash and slice the bell peppers into thin strips, ensuring to remove the seeds. Slice the onion into thin wedges and mince the garlic cloves. Grate the fresh ginger and set all prepared ingredients aside.
Cooking
- 2
Cook the Beef
In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the sliced beef sirloin. Season with salt and black pepper. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- 3
Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced onion, bell peppers, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet still crisp.
- 4
Combine and Season
Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Add the soy sauce and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine all the ingredients and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
