Hash Browns Preparation

Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and grate them using a box grater or a food processor. Rinse the grated potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch, then drain and pat dry with paper towels.

Finely chop the onion and sauté it in a large skillet over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil until translucent.

Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, sautéed onions, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the potatoes are evenly seasoned.

Flip and Finish Cooking
Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Carefully flip the hash browns using a large plate or spatula, and cook the other side for another 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
