Steak Marinade

Method

Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, chopped fresh rosemary, black pepper, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the ribeye steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat a grill or large skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill, ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

Remove the steaks from the marinade and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Discard the marinade. Place the steaks on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Butter and Lemon Zest

During the last minute of cooking, add butter on top of each steak and sprinkle with lemon zest. Allow the butter to melt and baste the steaks with the melted butter.

  4. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute throughout the meat.
