Method
Pancakes
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- 3
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.
- 4
Cook the Pancakes
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Grease lightly with butter. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2-3 minutes), then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
