For the Seafood

Prepare the Breading
In a shallow dish, combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.

Bread the Seafood
Dip the shrimp or flounder in the wet mixture, then coat with the breading mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

Fry the Seafood
Carefully place the breaded seafood in the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin fries.

Heat the Oil
In a separate deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Fries
Add the cut fries to the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle the fried fries with salt while still hot.

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrot.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture, and toss until well coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
