Method
Preparing the Ravioli
- 1
Cook the Ravioli
In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the cheese ravioli and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 4-5 minutes.
- 2
Drain the Ravioli
Once cooked, carefully drain the ravioli in a colander and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.
Making the Shrimp Alfredo Sauce
- 3
Sauté the Shrimp
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
- 4
Prepare the Sauce
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 5
Combine with Ravioli
Add the cooked ravioli to the skillet, tossing gently to coat them in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
