Preparation of Ingredients

Prepare the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the angel hair pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Seafood
Rinse the shrimp and scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and black pepper.

Chop the Vegetables
Mince the garlic and chop the fresh basil. Halve the cherry tomatoes.
Cooking the Sauce and Seafood

Sauté Garlic and Tomatoes
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Add the halved cherry tomatoes and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.

Add Wine and Reduce
Pour in the white wine and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to reduce by half, which should take about 5-7 minutes.

Combine and Serve
Toss the cooked angel hair pasta in the sauce to coat it evenly. Plate the pasta and top with the shrimp and scallops mixture. Garnish with additional fresh basil if desired. Serve immediately.
