Pork Preparation
- 1
Season the Pork
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub this spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, coating it evenly.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour the apple cider vinegar and chicken broth over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and shreds easily with a fork.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Using two forks, shred the pork into bite-sized pieces. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the juices.
