Base Preparation

Combine Base Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and form a dough-like consistency.
- 2
Press into Pan
Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Make sure the layer is compact and even.
- 3
Bake Base
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the base in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, then remove and let it cool completely.
Praline Topping Preparation
- 4
Make the Praline Mixture
In a medium saucepan, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, heavy cream, and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture comes to a boil.
- 5
Simmer and Stir
Let the mixture boil for 2-3 minutes while continuously stirring. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- 6
Spread on Base
Pour the praline mixture over the cooled graham cracker base, spreading it evenly to cover the entire surface.
Chocolate Layer Preparation
- 7
Melt Chocolate
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- 8
Pour Chocolate Layer
Carefully pour the melted chocolate over the praline layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- 9
Chill and Set
Refrigerate the whole pan for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate is set. Once set, cut into squares and serve.
