Method
Cooking the Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add 1 tablespoon of salt.

Cook Pasta
Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes for al dente.

Drain Pasta
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it in a colander and set aside.
Preparing the Bolognese Sauce

Heat Olive Oil
In a large skillet or saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.

Add Garlic
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Brown the Meat
Add the ground beef to the pan, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.

Add Tomatoes and Wine
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine. Bring to a simmer.

Season the Sauce
Add oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Toss the drained spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce until well coated.

Serve the pasta hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
