Method

Meatballs Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Shape the Meatballs

Using your hands, mix the ingredients until well combined. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  4. 4

    Bake the Meatballs

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.

Marinara Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Sauté Onion and Garlic

In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.

  2. 6

    Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Pour in the canned crushed tomatoes, add dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

  3. 7

    Simmer Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 8

    Add Fresh Basil

Just before serving, stir in the chopped fresh basil for added flavor.

Combine and Serve

  1. 9

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Once the meatballs are cooked, gently place them into the simmering marinara sauce. Allow them to cook together for an additional 5 minutes.

  2. 10

    Serve

Serve the meatballs in marinara sauce over pasta, rice, or on their own. Enjoy!
