Boil the Pasta
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt.

Cook Manicotti Shells
Gently add the manicotti shells to the boiling water. Cook for 8-10 minutes until they are al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Drain and Cool
Once cooked, drain the shells in a colander and rinse them with cold water. Set aside to cool.

Mix the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, 1 egg, chopped parsley, 0.5 tsp of salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Add Marinara and Herbs
Stir in the marinara sauce, dried oregano, and dried basil. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Fill the Manicotti
Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each manicotti shell with the ricotta mixture.

Arrange in Baking Dish
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place the filled manicotti shells in the dish.

Top with Sauce and Cheese
Cover the filled shells with the remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
