Pasta Preparation
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 liters of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.
Cook Spaghetti
Add 400 grams of spaghetti to the boiling water. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Marinara Sauce Preparation
Add Tomatoes and Spices
Add 800 grams of canned tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of basil, 1 tablespoon of oregano, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 0.5 teaspoon of salt, and 0.5 teaspoon of pepper to the saucepan. Stir well.
Simmer Sauce
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
Assembly
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Once the sauce is ready, combine it with the spaghetti in the pot. Stir well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
Plate and Garnish
Serve the pasta on plates, and sprinkle 100 grams of grated Parmesan cheese over each serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
