For the Fried Shrimp

Prepare the Shrimp
Peel and devein the shrimp, then pat them dry with paper towels.

Bread the Shrimp
Dip each shrimp first into the flour, shaking off excess, then into the egg, and finally into the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Set aside on a plate.

Fry the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the shrimp in batches, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.
For the Marinara Sauce

Sauté Garlic
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Add Tomatoes and Spices
Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, sugar, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Simmer the Sauce
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
For Serving

Plate the Dish
On a serving plate, arrange the fried shrimp and ladle marinara sauce over the top.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
