Shrimp Marinade

Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and paprika. Mix well to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp to the hot grill or skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.

Taco Assembly

  1. 3

    Prepare Taco Shells

Warm the taco shells or tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side until they are pliable and slightly toasted.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Tacos

In each taco shell, place a generous amount of shredded cabbage, followed by the cooked shrimp. Top with sliced avocado and sprinkle with fresh cilantro. Add a dollop of sour cream on top.

  3. 5

    Serve

Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos just before eating.

Salsa Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Salsa

In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, and fresh cilantro. Drizzle with lime juice and sprinkle with salt. Toss gently to combine.

  2. 7

    Serve with Chips

Serve the salsa in a bowl with tortilla chips on the side for dipping.
