Method
For the Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips about 1 inch wide.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first in the flour, then in the eggs, and finally coat with the bread crumbs mixture. Press lightly to ensure the crumbs adhere.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C). You can test by dropping a small piece of bread into the oil; it should sizzle.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil in batches, without overcrowding. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
For the Fries
- 7
Prepare Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 8
Soak Potatoes
Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
- 9
Heat Oil for Frying
In a separate large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).
- 10
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 4-6 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- 11
Drain and Season
Remove fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.
- 12
Serve
Serve the crispy fries alongside the chicken tenders.
