Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the ingredients

Dice the ham, onion, and bell pepper. Shred the cheddar cheese and set aside.

  2. 2

    Whisk the eggs

In a bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together with salt and black pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Cook the vegetables

In a non-stick skillet, heat the butter or oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, and sauté until they are soft, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add the ham

Stir in the diced ham and cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the ham to warm through.

  5. 5

    Add the eggs

Pour the whisked eggs over the ham and vegetable mixture, tilting the skillet to spread the eggs evenly.

  6. 6

    Add cheese

Once the edges start to set, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

  7. 7

    Cook the omelette

Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let the omelette cook for about 5 minutes until the eggs are fully set and the cheese is melted.

  8. 8

    Fold and serve

Carefully fold the omelette in half using a spatula and slide it onto a plate. Serve hot.
