Tea Base

Tapioca Pearls

Milk and Sweetener

Method

Prepare the Tea Base

  1. 1

    Brew the Tea

Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add 2 cups of black tea leaves. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, then strain the tea into a pitcher and let it cool.

Cook the Tapioca Pearls

  1. 2

    Boil the Pearls

In a separate pot, bring 5 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of tapioca pearls and cook according to package instructions, usually about 20-30 minutes, until they become translucent and chewy. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  2. 3

    Rinse and Sweeten

Once cooked, drain the pearls and rinse under cold water. Transfer to a bowl and mix with 2 tsp of sugar to sweeten. Set aside.

Assemble the Bubble Tea

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large glass, add a generous portion of the cooked tapioca pearls at the bottom. Pour in the cooled tea base, followed by 1 cup of condensed milk and 1 cup of regular or non-dairy milk. Stir well to combine.

  2. 5

    Add Ice

Add ice cubes to the glass for a refreshing chill. Stir again before serving.
